Some years ago, I had to move from a flat I'd spent many years
in, and had grown attached to. My
favourite
room was the kitchen
and it was this space I wanted to record. I photographed and drew everything that was on one of the walls, and from these images
came the idea of making a wallpaper. A life-size replica. This way,
I could take my chosen wall with me, exactly as it was, and paste
it up in my new flat.
The drawings and objects I photographed were scanned, resized
and composed in Photoshop. The image was then digitally printed onto four strips of lining paper which slotted together to form one large piece.
