This drawing was created for the show, 'Ballpoint', an exhibition held at The Pentagram Gallery, spring 2004.

The last time I used a ballpoint pen regularly was when I was a teenager. I used to scribble on school desks and cover textbooks with names of bands I used to be into. I started collecting records at that age and I used to gaze at the covers I liked for ages. I wanted some of that teenage girl feeling to be conveyed in this piece.
